String tie cushions have been the traditional style. More recently they have come up with a non-skid cushion which will not move. It has a latex material on the cushion’s underside. Obviously these will not be reversible cushions. I  also have to wonder whether or not the latex will be able to last after several washings.

Kitchen chair cushions like -  high chair seat pads – are also made from a variety of materials. A cotton/polyester blend is among the more common ones. If you need something that can stand up well to a busy household, twill is a strong choice. For something that’s easy to care for, try nylon.   Velvet is even a choice of some manufacturers. Deciding which fabric or material will work best for your family, and then finding it in a style that suits your tastes, will be the challenge. But since you are able to custom order your cushions, you don’t need to worry. Are you able to sew a little?  Then your problem is solved. After all, it is possible to make cushions from many kinds of materials, and all along you would be in control of how much padding you require.

Nearby  department stores like JC Penney carry brands made for them which are both high quality and reasonably priced.  These include brands like Tyson Gripper or Twill Gripper. Other quality brands are Miles Kimball and Touch of Class, which are usually found in Target and other stores like that. There are numerous websites that sell cushions at discount prices also. The quality probably isn’t what you would get buying at a retail store, though. The issue when it comes to buying almost anything online is that most of the items look great on your monitor, but when you get them home they just don’t look the same.
