If you are an expectant mom who has just learned that your baby is a girl, I am sure you are anxious to begin decorating the nursery. If you are considering how you would like to decorate the nursery for that sweet little girl, here are five theme ideas you might want to take a look at.
If you like the idea of using pink for your little girl’s nursery, but don’t want a cutesy type of nursery then consider using one of the numerous gorgeous pink and brown baby bedding sets. Pink and chocolate brown make a great color combination and give a very modern look to the nursery while still using traditional pink.
If you do like classic somewhat traditional decorating, you can’t go wrong by using gingham bedding in the nursery. Gingham is a classic that has stood the test of time and a very crisp, clean look to the nursery. Pink gingham bedding is a perfect choice for your little girl, but yellow, or even red gingham would be pretty as well.
If french country decor suits your style, then using toile bedding would be a great choice. You will find several bedding choices in classic black and white toile and accent with a bright color of your choice. You will also find pink, yellow, blue as well as a few other color choices. Yellow walls are really nice in a nursery using black and white toile bedding, but my favorite wall color choice with black and white toile is apple green.
While you may not associate little girls and bugs, there is one bug that is just so cute that it begs to be used in the nursery. That bug is the ladybug. Several baby bedding manufacturers offer versions of bedding adorned with ladybugs. There are selections in the colors red, black and white that you would expect as well as selections in pink and other colors.
As everyone thinks of their baby girl as a princess, a princess theme may seem like a no brainer. You can find little princess crib bedding embellished with tiaras and other princess motifs to complete this theme or you can choose one of the many ruffled and beribboned truly feminine bedding sets. While costly there are also some really great Cinderella type cribs that would be perfect in a princess themed room.
There you have it, five nursery theme ideas for your baby girl.
