Christmas is here once again, believe it or not! How time flies! Among the many other things there are to think about at Christmas, such as Christmas parties, Christmas cookies and cakes (and Christmas weight gain), Christmas presents, Christmas caroling and Christmas fun, there is Christmas decorating of the house, both inside and out. People have been stringing lights and putting up decorations outside their home for many years now, either because they just enjoy the fun of decorating, or they love the beauty and color it gives to their yard. In some cases, perhaps they just don’t want to be the only house in the neighborhood without something up for Christmas outside. Some people prefer to use the same decorations and lighting they have used for many years while others prefer to try something new and different, and hopefully even better looking, every year.
One improvement on the stock of Christmas decorations is LED lighting. Using LED lighting for your Christmas lights rather than the traditional bulb Christmas lights is a fairly new idea. LED lights look about the same as the traditional Christmas lights most people usually buy, but they cost about twice as much. Even though they cost more to purchase initially, there are definite advantages to buying them.
First of all, LED lights use only about ten to twenty percent of the electricity that a normal, traditional string of Christmas lights would use. That means that the money you spend to buy LED lighting is money saved as far as your electricity bill is concerned. Another advantage is that LED lights last quite a bit longer than your average string of Christmas lights. In fact, LED lights are generally sold with a three year warranty to them. So when you take these two factors into consideration, LED lights are actually cheaper to use, in the long run, than buying your normal string of Christmas lights.
