Choosing Kitchen Counter Seats For Your Home

Choosing the perfect stools for your kitchen is one of the easier decisions you will have to make when you are undertaking a renovation. With countertops, cabinets and sinks amongst over things there is plenty to take up your attention when you are in the planning stages. With that said, its worth putting in some effort to ensure you get a set of stools that will do the job intended and look great in the process. You will want stools that are comfortable to use, compliment the rest of the furniture, and last for many years to come. Great kitchen counter chairs should be both decorative and functionality.

Even though they are easy enough to choose, you will still want to keep a few things in mind so that you don’t waste your money. The main important factors are making sure you get the right height, style and material to suit every thing else in the room.

Choosing the right height of stool is the most obvious thing to get right but its surprising how many people fail to take it into account. If you go to the furniture store without knowing hwo high your breakfast bar is then you might end not being able to get your knees under it. Or you might find you have to stretch uncomfortably to get to your breakfast cereal. You want to leave about 10 to 12 inches between the top of your new stools and the bar you are using them with.

The material you choose for your stools is partly down to your personal preference and the existing decor in your home and especially the kitchen. Do you want to get a traditional or more contemporary look. You can really use the kitchen stools you use to give you the feel of your kitchen environment.

Some particularly popular choices these days are the French rattan stools or for others the more funky modern designs, but at the end of the day you are going to have to make up your own mind about what suits your particular needs.
