Have you thought about buying any bbq covers? I would think a little harder about buying one if you have not already. Getting a cover for your grill is very simple when it comes down to it. Usually you can purchase an off brand cover or even a cover built for your own grill from the same store you purchased the grill from making it convenient to you as the buyer.
Having your grill sit outside during the summer is great and all but when it comes time to put up the tongs and shut off the grill, that is when the cover should be used the most. A good cover can make the difference in whether you will be grilling with the same unit the next summer. Now if you are not living in an area that has very drastic temperature changes you could go with an option for a lighter material cover to basically keep out the dust and dirt while the grill is sitting in one place for so long. A light material keeps out the elements but might let moisture accumulate that can cause damage to your grill in a short amount of time. If you have a barbeque grill light attached it will protect that too.
Another option would be to go with heavier bbq grill covers, to give you protection from moisture build up as well as the usual dirt and grime that can attach itself to your grill. Having a good cover over the unit will ensure you are able to use it for many years to come before having to replace it, instead of every summer because you did not have one at all. BBQ Covers come in all shapes and sizes to allow for the wide range of styles out there. So if your grill did not come with a cover, I suggest you go and find one that fits your grill well to keep it safe in the harsh weather months.
