Bathroom Ceiling Heater Benefits

Most bathrooms have provisions for air circulation to ensure that dampness and water are given a way to evaporate. Bathrooms have multiple sources of water, there is no way around it, so the fight against mildew and many different kinds of damage that comes from water is a never-ending battle.

In addition to manually cleaning your bathroom, you probably already have a fan intake/vent exhaust system installed in your bathroom to help with dampness. Keeping air moving is a good way  to speed up evaporation. But as helpful as it is, it may compromise your family’s comfort if you live in a part of the world that gets cold. What your house may not have pre-installed is a bathroom ceiling heater, but it may be a home and lifestyle upgrade worth looking into.

The function of a bathroom ceiling heater of  this kind is twofold. Obviously it will take some of the sting out of cold air coming into your bathroom a cold winter morning. But the warming effect will also increase the overall evaporation that occurs in your bathroom.

To have a bathroom heater installed on your ceiling is preferable to a space heater that sits on the floor. No one who brushes against a hot space here in the morning when they’re still groggy, or who has almost tipped one over needs to be told that there are safety issues involved with space heaters.

The answer to keeping your bathroom warm should not be to heat up the entire house either. In all likelihood your family is about to go off to work and school, so it doesn’t really make sense to pay to get the whole house warm right before the family leaves in the morning.

Bathroom ceiling heaters are an expense; you can certainly spend a few hundred dollars on the heater and its installation. But I would suggest to look at it as a home improvement that will increase the value of your home, and if you prorate it over the next couple of decades during which you may occupy the house,  the expense is fairly negligible. More than that though, it’s one of those investments that your family will enjoy this winter, and every cold season for years to come.
